Open Doors Comment on tragic killing of Priest in France

Responding to the attack near Rouen earlier today a spokesperson for anti-persecution charity Open Doors said” This tragic attack, so close to home and following other recent horrors, is another example of the persecution we see all too often in countries around the world. We will continue to campaign for freedom of religion or belief – Article 18 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights Declaration - for all, regardless of which country they live in. Sadly these attacks are increasing each year in many countries. We must stand alongside people from all communities who face persecution because of their faith and call for increased unity rather than increased division.

Open Doors publishes the annual World Watch List ranking the countries it is most difficult to be a Christian in. http://www.opendoorsuk.org/persecution/country_profiles.php
