Serving Persecuted Christians Worldwide - Trustee - Open Doors UK & Ireland

Trustee – Open Doors UK & Ireland

Open Doors is a Christian charity, part of Open Doors International, a global NGO network which works in over 60 countries to support and strengthen persecuted Christians to be salt and light in their communities whatever their circumstances. Last year the UK base raised approximately £15 million to provide practical support to persecuted Christians such as food, medicines, trauma care, legal assistance, safe houses and schools, as well as spiritual support through Christian literature, training and resources.

We have an opportunity for a new Trustee who is passionate about our cause to join our Board of Trustees. Our Board use their professional skills and experience to prayerfully support the CEO and Leadership Team of Open Doors through shaping all the key areas of governance, from evaluating performance to ensuring our legal, financial, and reputational obligations and expectations are upheld to the highest standards.

You will be able to use your professional skills and experience of charity governance to contribute to the work that we do, to be part of a team that seeks to grow the charity, to support and encourage one another, and uphold the Christian values that we base our identity on.

If you are a Christian* with a passion to strengthen and grow the global church and a desire to use your skills, then we would love to hear from you. We are particularly interested in expressions of interest from those who have converted to Christianity from other faiths or from those under the age of 30.
