Witney (currently our policy is a minimum of 40% of hours in the office, with the remainder remote working)

If you thrive on facilitating, multi-tasking, and working in a team, we are seeking a competent and enthusiastic Executive Assistant to our Strategic Relations Team in this role.

Open Doors is a Christian charity, part of Open Doors International, a global NGO network which works in over 60 countries to support and strengthen persecuted Christians. Last year the UK base raised approximately £15 million to provide practical support to persecuted Christians such as food, medicines, trauma care, legal assistance, safe houses and schools, as well as spiritual support through Christian literature, training and resources.

We have a great opportunity for an experienced Executive Assistant to join our team at Open Doors UK & I.

You’ll be the lynchpin holding the team together with your organisational skills and IT expertise. You’ll be great at developing working relationships and be calm and able to resolve issues using both common sense and creative thinking. Prayer will be part of the rhythm of your working life and your understanding of wider church networks will help you grasp the team’s vision quickly. You’ll be enthusiastic and an excellent communicator.

You’ll get to know the team and what makes each person tick and what they need to do their job well. You’ll manage diaries, prepare and collate documents and liaise with people internally and externally to strengthen existing relationships and develop new ones.

You’ll learn about Open Doors and work with some inspirational speakers and thinkers. You’ll be keen to develop your skills and to share best practice with our other EAs. There is the unique chance to express your faith whilst using your professional skills within a vibrant Christian community and culture. You’ll be given personal development opportunities to help you excel in your work and be part of something amazing that supports the persecuted church and makes a difference in this world.
