A prayer for secret ministry workers
Throughout the world, Open Doors partners put their own lives at risk to serve their persecuted brothers and sisters. Please remember them in your prayers.
Lord Jesus,
You challenged the authorities.
You were called rule-breaker, rebel, criminal.
Today we pray for all those who follow You, instead of following the rules.
We particularly pray for those whose life is spent
trying to help your followers in places of risk and danger.
Lord, You know how hard they must work to disguise their actions, and how carefully they must watch their steps.
Refresh and renew those exhausted from the need for constant vigilance. Protect their secret meetings and give them wisdom to know whom to trust. Thank You for their faith and perseverance,
And for the courage of those who, despite the penalties for being caught, still try to share Your truth and love.
Amen.
