A prayer for young people of the persecuted church

Lord Jesus,

We pray for young Christians around the world who are risking it all to follow You;
for those whose hopes are being crushed,
and whose dreams could easily turn to dust.

We think of those denied education and jobs, those imprisoned or thrown out of their homes.

Lead them to other Christians and communities where they will be supported and cared for.

Heal young people who have suffered trauma and violence because of their faith.

Free young women from captivity and forced marriages, and protect young men who are vulnerable to attack.

Thank You for the overflowing passion of teenagers for You – equip them to follow Your call on their lives.

May they be an example for all of us through their words, their actions, their love and their faith.

Amen.
