A letter of thanks to you from Saudi Arabia

Last week we invited you to write to Adam in Saudi Arabia, who could be imprisoned for telling others about Jesus and helping his sister-in-law flee the country because of persecution. Many of you have sent messages, and Adam has been so touched by them that he has written back. Please continue to pray for Adam – he is expected to find out on Thursday (3 June) the outcome of his latest court case. There is still time to write him a letter, if you’d like to. Please note that Adam’s name has been changed to protect his identity.

To my brothers and sisters,

I am writing these words to you to express a small part of my thanks and appreciation to you. For you are the ones with your messages who have illuminated my mind with faith and prayer, and planted the love of Christ in my heart. You are the ones who have filled my journey with Christ with great meaning, thanks to the prayers that you raise to the King of Kings for me, my children, and my beloved wife. Your messages, which reach me through a brother here, give me strength and confidence that Jesus is the victor!

A candle lighting the way for others

God has sent to Saudi Arabia the family of Jesus, filled with mercy and love for thousands of people, so that God may enlighten their ways – including me! Christ’s family here has cared for me, my children and my wife. I feel as if they are a reward. For whatever we needed to know of Jesus Christ, they never forbade me any information, nor did they abandon me. They have been for me a spiritual family.

Write to Adam
There is still time to encourage Adam by writing him a letter - he'd love to hear from you.
FIND OUT HOW

You, my dear brothers and sisters, are like a candle used to light the way for others. I ask you to pray for Christ’s family here, that it will complete the task that God has given them to enlighten people’s hearts.

We remember Jesus when He sent the disciples to teach people and He said them: “But go to the lost sheep of the house of Israel. And proclaim as you go, saying, ‘The kingdom of heaven is at hand.’” (Matthew 10:6-7 ESV)

I am fully confident that the light of Christ will come on Saudi Arabia very soon. Then the light of Christ will prevail in the world. We trust in Christ. We do not surrender or fear the evil of people. Look at Him, and your faces will shine, and never be ashamed.

“Will I see my children and my wife again?”

I do not know what will happen to me after Thursday 3 June. Will I see my children and my wife again? Will I be able to view your messages?

My heart will be with Jesus and my mind will be with my children, but I am confident that Jesus will be with them and give them the strength to complete their lives. I am not afraid, no matter how difficult it is; it will not make me withdraw my love for Christ who redeemed me on the cross. My life began after I knew Christ. Before, I did not know life. I found in Christ love, peace and truth. I found a relationship with a Lord who loves me. Yes, it is Jesus, the greatest love. He is Jesus Christ, who went to the cross to save us from the eternal punishment that we deserve because of our sins.

"I love you with all my heart, and I will remember each and every one of you who sent a message to me" 'Adam'

The Bible says in Isaiah 26:3-4 (ESV): “You keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You. Trust in the Lord forever, for the Lord God is an everlasting rock.”

I found myself writing to you to tell you that I love you with all my heart, and I will remember each and every one of you who sent a message to me. May God bless you and protect you all.

A prayer for you

Come and fill my brothers and sisters with Your love. Fill us with Your forgiveness. Fill us with Your goodness and power. Touch our eyes, make us see ourselves as You see us. Let us see You in the people around us, and to see the needs of our brothers and sisters who invite us to serve them.

We have complete confidence in You, our Lord and God. We believe that You do not let us far from You for long, because You walk with us and You have the authority over everything. We will not be afraid; You are our friend and companion. We fear nothing, because Your love for us does not diminish with torment, does not end or change, but always triumphs.

Your brother Adam and his family, from Saudi Arabia.

Please pray

Heavenly Father, thank You for our brave brother, Adam, and thank You that we can encourage him with our prayers and letters. Continue to fill Him with Your peace and surround Him with Your presence. We ask that You would grant Adam favour with the judge. May they see in Adam no reason to convict and imprison him. May he be set free and able to reunite with his dear family. Intervene for our brother, we pray. Amen.

Send a letter
