Video: You answered Usha’s call for help

Open Doors partners in India were able to answer Usha's desperate phone call for help - now they've gone back to see how she and her community are coping.

Open Doors partners in India are bringing vital food and other essentials to many vulnerable and hungry Christians. A lot of them have been denied aid when it is distributed, because of their faith, or live in remote areas that assistance isn’t reaching.

You might have heard Usha’s desperate phone call to an Open Doors partner when we shared it earlier in the month – with the news that our partners were able to bring her and her Christian community the food they needed. Our partners recently went back to see how Usha and her small community are doing – the video below includes part of the original phone call, and a brief interview with Usha now.

Usha is trusting in God – and our partners in India are going to return soon with more relief packages, thanks to your help. Please keep giving to support families affected by coronavirus across the world – even as lockdown begins to lift in different countries, they urgently need your help.

Please pray
  • Give thanks that Open Doors partners have been able to bring Usha and her community the supplies they need
  • That Christians wouldn’t be discriminated against when aid is distributed
  • For Christians to be strengthened and emboldened to speak the truth of the gospel in India.
Please give
  • Every £28 could provide and deliver emergency aid for two persecuted believers impacted by the Covid-19 crisis.
  • Every £56 could provide and deliver emergency aid for a family of persecuted believers impacted by the Covid-19 crisis.
