Serving Persecuted Christians Worldwide - Churches Act - Open Doors UK & Ireland

Act as a Church

“We are one body, although separated by geography. We need to support one another. We need to see the body of Christ grow together.”

Frederick Gitonga, Kenya. Frederick nearly lost his life in an extremist attack where 148 of his fellow students lost their lives.

Together we can speak out for those who have been silenced. We can bring hope to people who feel all hope has gone. We can be a family for those who share our faith, but not our freedom. Your voice, your prayers, your gifts, really can make a difference.

“If one part suffers, every part suffers with it; if one part is honoured, every part rejoices with it. Now you are the body of Christ, and each one of you is a part of it” (1 Corinthians 12:26–27).

Even in a pandemic, the mobs haven’t stopped. Christians are continuing to face systemic and relentless attack in India, fuelled by anti-Christian propaganda. Violence, discrimination and hatred are evidence of the existential threat facing the Indian church now.

Don't let the UK government turn a blind eye to the issue of religious freedom in India. Urge the Minister for Asia and the Foreign Office to support a UN fact finding commission on human rights violations against Christian and religious minorities in India.
